Prosecutors for the Black People’s Grand Jury subpoenaed policeman Darren Wilson last week in the murder of 18-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO.

Also subpoenaed were: St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert P. McCullough; Colonel Jon Belmar, Chief of the St. Louis County Police Department; Missouri Governor Jay Nixon and Ferguson Mayor James Knowles.

Following the St. Louis County grand jury’s failure to indict Wilson for the blatant police murder that took yet another African life, the International People’s Democratic Uhuru Movement organized the Black People’s Grand Jury that will take place in Ferguson on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 3 and 4.

Our own black grand jury will take matters into our own hands, allowing African people to review the evidence ourselves and come to our own conclusions in a transparent process.

The African community will decide the price that must be paid by the killer cop, the lying county prosecutor and other colonial officials who always carry out and justify the murders of African people with impunity.

The Black People’s Grand Jury will be held at The Ambassador Event Center, 9800 Halls Ferry Rd., St. Louis beginning at 10 am each day.
