Black is Back mobilization calls for Africans to build resistance in face of imperialist wars!


On November 5, 2011, the Black is Back Coalition for Social Justice, Peace and Reparations (BIBC) keld mobilizations in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in the U.S. and in London, England under the slogan "Stop the Wars! Build the Resistance!"

Omali Yeshitela, Chair of the Black is Back Coalition, gave an overview at the Philadelphia conference.

Glen Ford, Executive Editor of gave a presentation on the need to intervene in the Occupy Movement.

Efia Nwangaza, Director of the Malcolm X Center for Self-Determination and veteran of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee spoke on the work to free political prisoners.

Lawrence Hamm, Chairman of the Peoples Organization for Progress,spoke on the need for Africans to be mobilized to lead our own struggle.

Diop Olugbala, President of the International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement and 2011 independent mayoral candidate for Philadelphia spoke on his campaign and the struggle against public policy of war on the African community.
